bio.
Marie (she/her) works as a contemporary dancer, choreographer, pedagogue, yoga teacher and culture manager.
She began her professional education at IWANSON International School of Contemporary Dance in Munich (GER) and continued her studies in contemporary dance, performance and pedagogy at Anton Bruckner University in Linz (AT). As part of her education, she spent a semester at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse in Lyon (FR).
From 2019 to 2021, she performed as a guest dancer at the Landestheater Linz. In 2022, she performed the piece ich seh dich with Tabea Antonacci at the A.PART Festival in Berlin. That same year, she received a Dis-Tanzen funding for Chaconne, a collaboration with musicians Ashley do Rego and Gregor Fussenegger. Her project Catcalling, supported by the Bavarian State’s Junge Kunst und neue Wege program, explored how experiences of sexual public harassment manifest in the body and can be processed through movement.
In 2023, she began a master in cultural- and media management to bridge her artistic practice with cultural events.
She is a founding member of the interdisciplinary collective Die Sprä:nger with Lorraine Töpfer and Jannik Rodenwaldt, which is currently developing an interdisciplinary stage and classroom piece on political participation for young people. In 2025, they were part of the Mentoringprogramm of the Performing Arts Programm Berlin with the mentor Philipp Harpain (GRIPS Theater Berlin).
Marie regularly teaches workshops at neues tanzen in Starnberg and has worked as a co-artistic director, choreographer and production manager on several performances, including the Vier Jahreszeiten Festival 2025 at Schlossberghalle Starnberg.
about her work.
Her practice is rooted in conscious embodiment, using the body as a medium to express inner processes, vulnerability and imagination. She values each person's individuality and seeks to deepen the connection to one’s own body as a path to personal growth.
She views movement as a reflection of the present moment, shaped by changing environments and internal states. It is also a way to connect with others and explore interpersonal relationships.
In her teaching, Marie draws inspiration from working with diverse individuals and their unique stories and movements. She enjoys bringing people together through movement, creating a playful environment and a safe space for exploration.
Collaboration and interdisciplinary projects are central to her approach, offering new perspectives and creative expansion. She fosters a curious and joyful atmosphere throughout the processes. Her collaborations integrate music, theater, dance, visual arts and a focus on engaging young audiences.
Funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media in the program NEUSTART KULTUR, aid program DIS-TANZEN of the Dachverband Tanz Deutschland and supported within the framework of the scholarship program of the Free State of Bavaria Junge Kunst und neue Wege.
